A Simple Joy

Hi ALL!  I just wanted to share a little simple joy of mine with you today.  I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a simple kind of gal and take pleasure in some very ordinary things that I find rather extraordinary myself.  One of the things that can bring a smile to my face instantly is flowers.  I LOVE them!  They just plain make me happy.  Unfortuneately I don't have very much of a green thumb, but I try to bring a little bright spot to my life by at least trying to help things grow.  I take great joy in my little garden.  It doesn't matter to me that it doesn't produce a whole lot.  I just love spending time amongst my vegetables and watching them grow to the best of their ability and I try to help them to the best of mine.  This year before my son came home in March I decided to try my hand at growing some flowers on our front stairs and porch.  I am happy to report that they are still alive!  I've replaced a couple of the flowers with ones that to better in the summer now that the weather is getting warmer.  So I painted these little pots and planted some flowers in them and also some vegetables for the front balcony.  I can not even begin to describe the happiness I receive from these little flowers each day.  Every time I walk up my front stairs I think to myself..."Ohhhhhhh these pretty little flowers make me sooooooo happy!"
And yes you will probably think I'm crazy, but I tell them that.  I don't necessarily think it will make them grow any better (but who knows, maybe it does), but I just can't really help myself.  They always bring a smile to me, so I lean over as I get to my front door and I tell them..."you are all sooooo pretty...you make me so happy...good job girls!" *I do think of flowers as females.  And I'll tell you a little secret...as soon as I tell them...I get even happier inside!  So here are some pictures of my little girls and I hope they brighten your day too!  Do you have a simple joy in your life...that brightens your day?  I would LOVE to hear about it!  Wishing you a day with JOY!  HUGS, Cheryl

Ticket To Ride

Yep, like the song ... Well the Beatles like Ros  are from Liverpool ... (if you are old enough to remember them Lol!)

So for this challenge we want to see a card or project with a

Mode of Transport AND at least one Ticket on there too!

I hope you will come and join us and have some fun!
I just LOVED combining the dreamy papers from our sponsor, Digital Paper Shop with some playful papers that I had as scraps to create my lo.  To me, when you combine dreamy with playful you get whimsical and whimsy to me equals childhood.  It was just what I needed to scrap these sweet photos of my grandbabies.  Just looking at the simple, timeless, whimsical and wonderful times of a child makes me want to get right on board on the childhood express.  I hope you come on board with us week and play along with us at CCCB!  We have a free ticket for you...haha!  Jump on over to CCCB and catch a glance of the to die for creations from our Guest Designer, Sylvia Nelson, and our DT.  They did not disappoint!!!  The winner of the challenge this week gets to choose a beautiful collage from our sponsor, Digital Paper Shop.  *and when I say BEAUTIFUL...I mean BEAUTIFUL!  Hope you play along!  Wishing you a FANTABULOUS day!  HUGS, Cheryl

A Rose Is A Rose **CCCB**

Hi ALL!  I'm back as hostess for this week's challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog.   I was inspired this week by the GORGEOUS papers from our sponsor, Digital Paper Shop. I just LOVE all the LOVELY roses that adorn them. There is something so romantic about roses.  These papers were just PERFECT for this romantic photo of my daughter and son-in-law.   For our theme I chose "A Rose is a Rose" and your challenge is simply to use rose(s) somewhere on your project.   Please check out the BEAUTIFUL projects from our Guest Designer, Kasia, and all our DT over at City Crafter Challenge Blog! I just KNOW you all are going to come up with some STUNNING projects and I can't wait to see them!  HUGS, Cheryl

Traveling Through Time

Hi ALL!  I don't know if you've noticed it, but I have made Thursdays my days to share los that I have done from the past.  This one was created three years ago when my youngest daughter turned 14.  She just had her 17th birthday last week.  I look at this lo and think...ohhhhhh my heck....I can't even believe this was THREE years ago!  I told her to enjoy her birthday this year because in no uncertain terms was I going to have my BABY turning 18!  I have a feeling that birthday will be here before you know it, too.  I better she enjoy EVERY second with her before she ups and leaves the nest, too.  Hope you are ENJOYING EVERY SECOND of this day!  HUGS, Cheryl

Make sure you go view the loveliness at City Crafter Challenge Blog to not only see how our AMAZING Guest Designer, Sharul Niza, and our DT interpreted Linda's sketch, but to also see the incredibly LOVELY papers we ALL used from our GENEROUS sponsor The Digital Paper Shop.  These papers were an absolute DREAM to work with.  They are so BEAUTIFUL and to me they are what I imagine are the stuff of what little baby girl dreams are made of and so were PERFECT for the lo I did of my little granddaughter when she was a newborn.  The prize for our winner this week is to choose one of the GORGEOUS collages from The Digital Paper Shop.  You are going to definitely want a chance to WIN so I can't wait to see what you come up with!  Hope this week is filled with SWEET DREAMS for you all!  HUGS, Cheryl
